Zero-IF TV tuner needs no SAWs
The MAX3580 is a fully integrated zero-IF direct-conversion TV tuner IC for DVB-T applications.
New from Maxim Integrated Products, the MAX3580 is a fully integrated zero-IF (ZIF) direct-conversion TV tuner for digital video broadcasting-terrestrial (DVB-T) applications By using the novel ZIF architecture and integrating an RF-tracking filter, this tuner eliminates external, discrete filtering components and the expensive SAW filter required by older, IF-based tuners, thus enabling the industry's lowest bill of materials (BOM)
