The MAX5436-MAX5439 are 128-step high-voltage digital potentiometers available in 5 x 3mm microMAX packages.

The MAX5436-MAX5439 are 128-step high-voltage digital potentiometers available in 5 x 3mm microMAX packages These ICs are half the size of comparable devices in 8-pin SOPs

The MAX5437/MAX5439 include a general-purpose, on-chip, high-voltage, uncommitted operational amplifier, which provides additional reductions in board space and cost.

These new digital pots use dual operating voltages of +/-5V to +/-15V, or single operating voltages, such as 0 to +10, 0 to +15, or 0 to +30V.

The MAX5436-MAX5439 are excellent for liquid crystal display (LCD) contrast adjustment or high-voltage trimming applications.

Other features include low 35ppm/degC end-to-end and 5ppm/degC ratiometric resistor temperature coefficients, a three-wire SPI/QSPI/Microwire-compatible serial interface, power-on reset to midscale, and an amplifier shutdown mode.

The MAX5436/MAX5437 are available in 50kohm resistances and the MAX5438/MAX5439 in 100kohm resistances.

Prices for the MAX5436/MAX5438 without the on-chip amplifier in a microMAX package are $0.92 (100,000-up, FOB USA).

Prices for the MAX5437/MAX5439 with the on-chip amplifier in a TSSOP package start at $1.24 (100,000-up, FOB USA).
