The new DY relay from Matsushita Electric Works builds on the well-established industry standard miniature PCB power relay. However, the device takes it a stage further by offering the market an extremely competitive performance to price ratio. The DY relay is available in two coil versions, switching 10A loads at 250V AC in the 1 Form A and 8A at 250V AC in the 1 Form A/1 Form B.

In both versions, the device provides engineers with further cost benefits and design versatility through its very low coil characteristics of only 200mW power consumption for the mono stable version.

A two-coil latching option is also available.

With a board area measuring just 20 x 15mm, the compact DY relay is specifically designed for applications within the control industry as output relays in PLCs and timers, or as direct interfaces from control panels in machine tools or robotics, for instance.

The insulation characteristics of the relay feature a reinforced 6mm creepage and its clearance distances meet industry requirements at 4kV.

The device is both lead and cadmium free to comply with the latest hazardous material legislations.
