Telephone line testing goes solo
Telephone line installation and servicing operations are now much faster and more efficient using the latest Teletech TX915 "Loop-a-Line" telephone line test equipment.

Telephone line installation and servicing operations are now much faster and more efficient using the latest Teletech TX915 "Loop-a-Line" telephone line test equipment from Mans International. With Loop-a-Line, operators can work unassisted up to 20km from the exchange. Through a unique patented signalling system, this system is used to disconnect the customer's service, identify the cable pair, open and close the loop, and reconnect the line during a single visit to the customer.
Repeat journeys along the cable and back to exchange are eliminated, resulting in faster job completion times, faster service uptime and increased cost efficiency through a one-person operation.
Loop-a-line comes with a tone sender (or oscillator), signalling probe, and two sets of test leads.
With the oscillator in "tone" mode at the exchange, the operator can identify the pair at the far end of the line using the probe.
Line disconnection, looping (for additional tests) and reconnection are all simple push button operations, with easy to interpret information.
Additional line tests include foreign battery, insulation resistance, loop resistance, resistance balance checks, enhanced fault finding using time domain reflectometers (TDRs) or resistance bridge, dial-tone and ring back.
As well as telecomms engineers from major service providers, Loop-a-Line will appeal to any communications technician with access to the telephone line exchange who wants greater control over their line network.
