Luna Technologies has added virtual instrument software to its line of optical vector analysers, making component characterisation data more accessible and increasing optical vector analysis productivity.
The new software enables users to scan optical devices using the OVA, save the data, and analyse the stored data using any computer on which the software is installed.
No additional OVA or data acquisition card is needed.
The virtual instrument software eliminates the need to remeasure components after storing the initial measurement.
Using the virtual instrument software and stored component data, personnel can access the full characterisation of a component without an OVA, and data for components in inventory can be stored and accessed when needed.
The new virtual instrument software also increases productivity because personnel can access component test data remotely from any computer that has the software installed, leaving the OVA available for additional component testing applications.
(Luna's groundbreaking line of OVA devices use laser interferometry to test optical components over their full range in less than 8s).
"Our customers have reported tremendous gains in productivity because they can do comprehensive device analysis right at their desktops", said Chris Brozenick, Luna's Vice President of Product Management.
"The virtual instrument software provides them with quicker access to crucial testing data for easier data analysis".
The virtual instrument software is available immediately, both separately and as part of the OVA bundle.
The price for a single copy is $995.
