In addition to pulsed devices, Laser Components also produces its own continuous-wave laser diodes at 808nm with 1000mW power. The devices are based on a reliable InGa(Al)As/GaAs material with a standard wavelength selection of +/-3nm. A power of 500mW is already attainable at 1.1A with this highly efficient structure.

The laser chip is embedded in a hermetically sealed 9mm CD package.

A monitor diode is integrated for performance control and regulation, a special advantage for medical device applications.

Further applications include printing, material processing, illumination and measurement technology.
