Manufacturing test software for WiMAX products based on Wavesat chipsets runs on existing single-box testers

LitePoint Corp, a provider of wireless test systems, has announced the availability of the LitePoint IQfact manufacturing test software for WiMAX products based on Wavesat chipsets. This turnkey software package runs on the IQmax-500 R and D and IQmax-100 WiMAX manufacturing one-box testers.

The fastest test times and lowest cost of test realised by LitePoint's successful IQfact testers are now also available for wireless product manufacturers using the Wavesat WiMAX chipset.

'LitePoint is the leader in wireless manufacturing test solutions', says Michel Guay, President and CEO of Wavesat.

'Our partnership with LitePoint to develop turnkey solutions for manufacturing of Wavesat-based WiMAX products enables our customers to start up manufacturing in a matter of days instead of weeks or months, while also achieving the lowest cost of test at the highest coverage'.

The IQfact for Wavesat software integrates seamlessly into the existing LitePoint IQmax API, allowing simple turnkey testing of Wavesat-based products - for both R and D and manufacturing applications.

The first IQfact release for Wavesat is optimised for products based on the Wavesat Evolutive DM256 fixed WiMAX chipset and will be extended to support other Wavesat fixed and mobile chipsets.

The ready-to-go software contains a flexible operator interface, a test suite of manufacturer-recommended tests and test limits, and calibration and verification procedures needed for the manufacturing of WiMAX products.

IQfact for Wavesat offers an out-of-the-box WiMAX tester which allows for quick bring-up and integration into a factory's manufacturing environment.

Dr Benny Madsen, CEO for LitePoint comments: 'As the market leader in wireless testing, LitePoint is excited about adding support for Wavesat WiMAX products to our IQfact family of easy-to-use manufacturing test solutions'.

Madsen continues: 'Wavesat is a pioneer and leader in WiMAX chipset development, and LitePoint is proud to provide complete test solutions for Wavesat-based products from R and D to high-volume manufacturing'.
