Satellite convertor system can be configured to suit C-Band or Ku-Band applications and yet takes up only 1U of rack space.

New from Link Microtek is a versatile satellite convertor system that can be configured in a wide variety of ways to suit C-Band or Ku-Band applications and yet takes up only 1U of rack space Manufactured by L-3 Narda Satellite Networks, the V2200 dual convertor can handle voice, data or video transmissions and is designed to meet the stringent requirements of Intelsat, IDR, IBS and TDMA services

The V2200 consists of a system monitoring and control processor, redundant fans, front-panel controls and display, optional IF and RF switches, and two convertor trays - each of which can be configured as an up or down convertor with an IF of 70MHz or 140MHz for either C-Band or Ku-Band applications.

This flexible architecture allows multiple system configurations, including 1:1 redundant up or down convertor, up and down convertor in a single 1U chassis, dual-frequency up or down convertor, dual up convertor and dual down convertor.

All convertor trays are equipped with a power supply and reference oscillator and can be replaced in the field without disrupting the operation of the second tray.
