Integrated VCOs pack in more microwave functions
Now available from Link Microtek is a new range of low-cost, plastic-packaged MMIC voltage controlled oscillators (VCOs) that feature a high level of integrated functionality.
The V2200 consists of a system monitoring and control processor, redundant fans, front-panel controls and display, optional IF and RF switches, and two convertor trays - each of which can be configured as an up or down convertor with an IF of 70MHz or 140MHz for either C-Band or Ku-Band applications.
This flexible architecture allows multiple system configurations, including 1:1 redundant up or down convertor, up and down convertor in a single 1U chassis, dual-frequency up or down convertor, dual up convertor and dual down convertor.
All convertor trays are equipped with a power supply and reference oscillator and can be replaced in the field without disrupting the operation of the second tray.
