In a market sector where the need for custom designs has meant that typical lead times are 6 to 8 weeks or more, engineers will now be able to obtain a variety of UK-manufactured waveguide products in as little as one week. For the new Fast-Track service, Advanced Microtek has built up extensive stocks of rectangular, double-ridge and flexible waveguide, as well as key components including flanges, cast bends and various standard connectors.
Using in-house facilities, these piece-parts are machined, brazed, finished and tuned to meet customers' specific requirements for products such as adapters, E and H bends, straight/twist sections, low-power terminations and couplers.
Fast-Track waveguide products are available in small order quantities only - typically no more than ten - and can be specified in a choice of brass and copper or aluminium.
