The latest versions of Datalight's signature products Reliance and FlashFX Pro are available now from Logic Technology

'Datalight is an embedded storage expert'. 'We understand that embedded developers require not only reliability, but also performance', said Datalight Director of Technology Gary Palmer. 'These enhanced versions provide the leap of performance today's products demand'. Because it has been designed specifically for embedded systems, Datalight's Reliance file system offers a highly reliable transactional file system that consistently preserves directory structure and user data.

Reliance v1.2 offers significantly enhanced performance over earlier versions.

Users can achieve 15 to 40% better performance through choices in media, device layout, memory system and embedded processor.

In addition, Reliance for CE now supports Microsoft Windows CE 5.0, and both Reliance and FlashFX Pro for VxWorks now support 16 new Projects (preconfigured product builds) for versions 6.0, 5.5, and 5.4.

FlashFX Pro ensures the integrity of stored data by supporting atomic writes into unused areas of a Flash device.

Again depending on the type of Flash used and embedded design, FlashFX Pro v1.2 users should experience 15 to 25% better performance than earlier versions.

FlashFX Pro v1.2 also offers support for additional Flash parts, including support for Intel StrataFlash NOR in 4x8 configurations and support for NAND Flash from AMD, Hynix, and Micron.

Reliance v1.2 and FlashFX Pro v1.2 are available now.
