The Enhanced 7th Generation of device programmers from BP Microsystems features USB 2.0 communications and support for devices with densities up to 4Gbit

The Enhanced 7th Generation was developed to meet the new technological requirements of the programming industry. "This product introduction reaffirms our position as the leader in the universal device programmer market," said Lyman Brown, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer.

Earlier BP Micro programmer models use a parallel port to communicate from the host PC to the programmer.

With a high-speed USB 2.0 standard bus, communication speeds are increased and greater reliability is provided.

Onboard memory was increased to address with the industry trend of higher density semiconductor devices.

Slated for release in the first quarter of 2005, the Enhanced 7th Generation programmer models - 1710, 2710, 2710M, 4710, 4710-M, 3710MK2 and 3710MK2-M - will replace the existing 7th Generation product line, available from Logic Technology.
