Front-end supply simplifies distributed
power

Front end power supply has nominal output voltage of 12V for driving nonisolated point of load DC/DC convertors without the need for intermediate bus conversion.

Lambda has launched a new version of its popular FPS1000 front end power supply with a nominal output voltage of 12V, ideal for driving nonisolated point of load DC/DC convertors directly in distributed power architecture systems without the need for intermediate bus conversion The new model, which complements the existing line up of 24, 32 and 48V models, has found immediate favour with manufacturers of nontelecomms equipment that do not require a 48V bus yet wish to move to a distributed power system
