Under this plan, the Embedded Modules and Mobile Rugged groups will continue to function as separate business units, but will take advantage of the R and D capabilities and knowledge that both the two engineering teams have to offer.
The joint efforts of these teams will ensure that the embedded computing technology and mobile rugged markets can expect to see more advancements coming from Kontron's Silicon Valley facility.
'By bringing the teams from both the Embedded Modules and Mobile Rugged business units together under one roof, this facility truly reflects the engineering reputation of Silicon Valley', says Dale Szymborski, General Manager of the Kontron America facility in Fremont.
'This facility has become the innovation epicentre for Kontron America and gives Kontron greater access to some of the world's finest engineering talent'.
