Tact switches offer miniature benefits

A new series of microminiature tact switches is designed for a variety of applications in industrial automation where an ultrasmall, rugged and waterproof switch is required.

Knitter Switch has a new series of microminiature tact switches designed for a variety of applications in industrial automation where an ultrasmall, rugged and waterproof switch is required. Called the TMSE series, the switches are RoHS compliant, washable (comparable to a IP65 rating) and feature a long mechanical life (100,000 cycles). The TMSE 10 switches measure just 4.8 x 4.5mm.

The switches are also available in a J-wing (TMSE 10J) and side-push version (TMSE 10J-RA) and feature contacts rated at 24V DC/100mA (250V AC for 1min), a maximum contact resistance of 100mohm and an operating force of 3N.

Designed to be lead-free-solderable, the switches feature an operating temperature range of from -55 to +125C.

Knitter Switch microminiature tact switches are available from stock and from a number of distributors throughout Europe.
