A new range of high-frequency PWM fans perform at low noise levels by eliminating the power switching noise of the fan.

The motor commutation noise is eliminated with high frequency PWM as the coils of the fan are being switched with a frequency above 20kHz, which is outside the human audible range.

The speed of the fan is controlled by an external PWM signal.

The JMC PWM ramps up linearly from a 20% duty cycle up to the fan's maximum rated speed.

Because the fan can run at lower speeds it is more energy efficient and will therefore have a longer life.

JMC's high frequency PWM fans are available with dimensions of 70 x 15, 70 x 25, 80 x 25, 92 x 25, 120 x 25 and 120 x 38mm.

The high frequency PWM motor drive has also been implemented in JMC's 97 x 33mm blower design.

For high-performance high-current fan and blower applications JMC has implemented a soft start circuit that limits the inrush current when the air-moving device starts up in high duty cycles.

High-frequency PWM fans are available now to OEM and distribution customers and range in price from $4.00 to $15.00 depending on fan size, features, and quantities ordered.

All JMC products are guaranteed to be free of defects in material and workmanship when operated under specified temperature, humidity, and voltage ratings.
