JMC Products has developed a novel counter-rotating, dual-blade fan design.
The dual-impeller, dual-motor fan is engineered with redundancy to protect against fan failure and to produce effective airflow performance against high system pressures.
As a result, the fan offers a 90% improvement in CFM and PQ curve in comparison to a similar size single-blade fan.
JMC's counter-rotating fans are a new model size for the thermal cooling industry, measuring a compact 40 x 50 x 32 and 40 x 50 x 38mm, allowing design engineers to realise the benefits of improved air performance in a 1U solution.
The 40 x 50 x 32mm fan delivers up to 510 litre/min at 117Pa and the 40 x 50 x 38mm fan delivers up to 650 litre/min at 150Pa.
"The purpose of the new design, in addition to improved performance, is to avoid downtime as a result of the amplified redundancy of the fan", states Jerry Johns, VP Sales and Engineering.
"This is a powerful solution for servers, power supplies and other high thermal output equipment", he adds.
Counter rotating fans are available now to OEM and distribution customers.
JMC's 40 x 50 x 32 and 40 x 50 x 38mm fans range in price from $7.50 to $9.50 depending on fan features, speed, and quantities ordered.
