Connector provides good attenuation

The TMDMP filter connector is suitable for integrated avionics and electronic warfare, satellites and space systems, radar and sensors, weapon controls and targeting systems

ITT Electronic Components has released a robust Micro-D connector with exceptional attenuation. The TMDMP uses an internal filter design, providing the density needed to accommodate the ferrite tubes necessary for Pi filtering in military and aerospace applications. 'Unlike conventional 'C' type filters, the Pi filter design uses two capacitors around a ferrite inductor, providing a significantly better attenuation curve', said Keith Teichmann, Director of Product Management for ITT Electronic Components.

'This design is also lightweight yet rugged and housed in a reduced package size, making it suitable for harsh environments, particularly those with space constraints'.

Completely intermateable with MIL-DTL-83513, the TMDMP filter connector is ideal for integrated avionics and electronic warfare, satellites and space systems, radar and sensors, weapon controls and targeting systems.

Additional applications include displays, instrumentation, data processing, radio, navigation and telecommunications.

The TMDMP filter connector is available in five sizes, with contacts for both sockets (receptacle) and pins (plugs).

The connector features rugged aluminium shells and soldering to the printed wiring board is facilitated by expanded contact terminal spacing. Request a free brochure from ITT Electronic Components....
