The CVW and CVF series resistors are ideal for industrial applications, including power electronics circuits, voltage dividers, power supplies and motor controllers.

TT electronics IRC Wire and Film Technologies Division now offers commercial grade cement-housed vertical mount power wirewound and film resistors.

The CVW (wirewound) and CVF (film) resistors feature ideal specifications for high volume and high-temperature applications.

"The vertical mount configuration gives the device a minimal footprint, making it ideal for applications where PC board space is at a premium", said David Winkler, Product Manager for IRC's Wire and Film Technologies Division.

"With the extended resistance range and high-temperature rating, the resistors can be specified for operation in harsh environments".

The CVW and CVF series resistors are ideal for industrial applications, including power electronics circuits, voltage dividers, power supplies and motor controllers.

The CVW series wirewound resistors feature a resistance range from 0.1ohm to 910ohm, while the CVF series film resistors have a resistance range of 28ohm to 200kohm.

Standard tolerances for both devices are to +/-5% and +/-10%, with TCRs of +/-400 parts per million/C at less than 20ohm and +/-350 parts per million/C at 20ohm and above.

The operating temperature range is -55C to 275C.
