Cost efficient rack and panel connectors are capable of handling 5A per contact (all contacts simultaneously) at 100C ambient and 750V RMS

The moulded nylon insulator will withstand -50 to +125C. Rugged and heavy duty (a minimum of 500 mechanical operations) they are superb in industrial/commercial equipment like bank ATMs, vending and office machines, gaming equipment, mobile radios, TV cameras and industrial control applications where larger gauge wires of up to 16AWG are required.

The strong, low insertion force, self-wiping contacts are designed such that the plug and socket will self-align, making them ideal as power edge card connectors for inaccessible 'blind mating' applications such as the rear of sliding trays and panels in industrial enclosures or process control panels, on cable ends or even as battery connections.

They have been specifically designed with 'floating' bushes and 180 degree keyway or dowel polarising to assist alignment when used in the rear of card racks etc to prevent misalignment and damaged contacts.

Two wide, positive pressure contact points produce a self-cleaning and wiping action to keep mating surfaces clean and clear for low resistance and electrical continuity.

Red Range rack and panel power transmission connectors are available in four sizes: the 8-way version is keyway polarised, whereas the 16-, 24- and 32-way types are dowel polarised.

Considering their durability in harsh environments these RoHS compliant connectors offer both a low initial cost (around GBP 10.00 per mated 8-way pair) and lifecycle cost over most other comparable interconnects and are available off the shelf from In2Connect.
