Innoveda has appointed Franz Maidl as vice president and General Manager of European Operations, based in Munich

Maidl joins Innoveda from i2 Technologies, where he served as Director Sales for Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) and Content, Europe. Prior to i2, he was with Mentor Graphics, Tektronix and Siemens. He brings more than 15 years of electronic design automation, sales and management experience to Innoveda's European team.

Commenting on this appointment, Ken Bado, Executive Vice President of Sales and Consulting, said: "With his extensive EDA and enterprise experience, and broad understanding of customer needs, Franz Maidl will be instrumental in helping our customers gain the benefits of using Innoveda's cutting-edge solutions to solve their business problems.
