Two new highly integrated solutions provide power and control signals from advanced set-top box units to the satellite dish low-noise block down convertor
Intersil has two new highly integrated solutions for providing power and control signals from advanced set-top box (STB) units to the satellite dish low-noise block (LNB) down convertor. These new power and control ICs offer high integration to reduce space and costs, high-power efficiency to reduce power dissipation and heat and high-reliability to ensure long service in customer premise equipment.

Achieving a datarate more than double that of competing devices, the ISL3259E allows manufacturers to design the most dependable high datarate systems ever created
The ISL6424 is specifically designed for supplying power and control signals from advanced STB modules to the LNBs of two antenna ports, whereas the ISL6425 performs the same functions as the ISL6424 but for the LNB of only one antenna port.
Both devices are designed for compliance with 2.5V/3.3V logic and are pin-to-pin compatible and complement Intersil's current device offerings for 3.3V/5V logic.
The ISL6534 is available now in standard lead finish and Pb-free, and either a 32-lead thermally enhanced 5 x 5mm QFN package or a 24-lead exposed pad TSSOP package.
The suggested price in 10,000 unit quantities is $1.50 for each IC.
