The ISL6744 delivers economy, flexibility, simplicity and industry-leading performance that places it at the top of the list for power supply designers. The ISL6744 integrates all of the control and protection features required to improve performance and reduce costs for the rapidly growing isolated power bus convertor market.
The ISL6744 controller works over a wide range of input voltages bringing high performance and cost savings to isolated-bus applications including 400V power-factor-corrected AC/DC convertors and 48V intermediate buses for telecomms, datacomms and server systems.
This new convertor IC has been designed to provide efficiency optimisation with its ability to accurately program the output drive signals' non-overlap time with delays as fast as 20ns - that's five to ten times faster than competing products.
This performance allows power engineers to optimise the efficiency of their power modules and achieve conversion efficiencies greater than 95% perent.

In addition to high conversion efficiency, the ISL6744 provides an adjustable oscillator frequency, adjustable soft start, over-current shutdown, and precise control of the switching frequency.
It features low startup and operating currents, operation up to 1MHz, integrated 20V, 1A MOSFET drivers, and very fast propagation delays, all in a tiny 8-lead MSOP or SOIC package.
The suggested resale price for quantities of 1000 units is $1.30 for the ISL6744AU (MSOP package) and $1.20 for the ISL6744AB (SOIC package).
