Top accuracy claims
for high-speed op amps
Six new high-accuracy, high-speed amplifiers will suit measurement and data-acquisition applications that require 0.01% accuracy or more
The Elantec EL515x series of op amps operate off split +/-5V or single 5 to 12V supplies. This family of devices is claimed to set a new standard for expectations of DC accuracy in high-speed op amps. With a worst-case voltage offset at under 1mV and typically 0.3mV, these devices also provide 0.1uA maximum input bias current over a wide temperature range.

Switching regulators protect against spikes
High-efficiency 2A integrated FET step-down DC/DC switching regulators support wide operating input voltages and can handle transient spikes up to 100V
The combination of low offsets, minimal bias currents, with a range of devices focusing on low power consumption at one extreme and ultrahigh speed at the other extreme will enable a wide variety of sensors in medical, automotive, barcode scanning, and instrumentation applications.
"Prior to the release of these parts, high speed amplifiers typically sacrificed DC performance but we now offer the flexibility to handle high bandwidth signals at high gains while maintaining 0.01% DC accuracy", said Sameer Vuyyuru, Intersil's Director of Marketing for Video and Op Amps.
"The EL515x series is an illustration of our commitment to serve every high speed amplifier application".
