The agreement fulfils Advanced Input's strategic objective to partner with leading technology companies to provide cutting edge human-machine interface technologies. The agreement realises Immersion's goal to enter markets where haptics can significantly enhance the performance and functionality of user interface devices.
"Users of our products have been primarily reliant on sight and sound for control verification", says Brad Lawrence, President of Advanced Input Systems.
"Now, with Immersion's haptic technology, they will be able to trust their sense of touch for more intuitive, rapid, and precise control".
TouchSense technology enables controls to provide context-sensitive response.
