Advanced electronic communications and controls are critical to the NiteNite concept, with the bedside control panel managing all entertainment, lighting and air conditioning functions

NiteNite is a new unique concept in hotels, offering guests a room created to emulate the feel of a cabin aboard a luxury yacht with a double bed, high spec bathroom with power shower, a 42in plasma screen, in-room broadband Wi-Fi access, air conditioning and luxury finishes to four-star standard in a prime city-centre location for under GBP 50.00 per night.

Advanced electronic communications and controls are critical to the NiteNite concept, with the bedside control panel, designed and produced by specialist MMI company IGT Industries managing all entertainment, lighting and air conditioning functions.

IGT Industries designed both the software and hardware for the system, supplying a fully tested complete assembly ready for installation.

The control panel is a PCB-based unit; the graphics feature a new development with the first use in the UK of mirror finish ink on a keyboard, enabling a very high brightness chrome effect to be achieved.

The room is activated by inserting the room card into the integral reader, and once live, the control panel has variable intensity backlighting, tactile feedback is provided on all keys and the electronics are housed in a rugged environmentally sealed polycarbonate enclosure.
