ESTC-2008 will be held at Greenwich, the magnificent World Heritage site and major maritime site on the banks of the River Thames in the great city that is London.
The conference and exhibition will be hosted at the University of Greenwich in the buildings of the former Royal Naval College - which has a tremendous heritage.

Technical themes of ESTC-2008 are: advanced packaging, emerging technologies, manufacturing and test technology, modelling and simulation and design, new materials and processes, power electronics, technology and reliability for micro and nano systems, assembly of alternative energy sources, optoelectronics, and electronics system-integration for healthcare.
Poster papers will be on display throughout the day, and each poster will have a scheduled slot for presentation by the author.
Short-courses will also be given on 1st September 2008.
Special sessions cover: greening the blue planet, standards, prognostics and health monitoring, Asia-Pacific photovoltaics developments, and European global business council.
The ESTC 2008 exhibition will be in Queen Anne Court at the University of Greenwich.
The exhibition hall is positioned exactly between the two groups of technical session rooms deliberately to encourage flow into the exhibition.
Coffee and meeting tables will also be located in the exhibition hall.
A 20% early bird discount is available for bookings before 29th February 2008.
