Furukawa Electric Co has selected IDT's 256Kx36 (128Kx72) and 128Kx36 (64Kx72) NSEs to accelerate packet processing and enable intelligent application management in its next-generation Fitelnet G-Series gigabit routers The IDT NSEs enable full-wire speed Layer 2-4 packet processing, and also allow Furukawa's G-Series gigabit routers to provide comprehensive quality of service (QoS) and class of service (CoS) functions such as policed priority queuing and dynamic multicast QoS routing functions
