Slimline supplies increase power density
Idec Electronics has expanded its PS5R-S range of switched mode DIN rail mounted plastic power supplies

The new models are designed to offer the power of a traditional power supply in only half the space, with a range of convenient features. The new 120 and 240W units complement the existing 30, 60 and 90W slimline power supplies. The emphasis is on reduced width to keep DIN rail space to a minimum.
But up-to-date technology in power supply design means the slim power supply overall dimensions have been reduced dramatically compared with those of the established PS5R Classic power supplies of equivalent wattage.
Like all Idec switching power supplies the PS5R Slimline devices have worldwide CE, UL and CSA approvals, fused inputs and overvoltage and overcurrent protection.
The 120 and 240W have voltage low indication.
They are DIN rail or direct surface mountable and have universal voltage inputs accommodating 85-264V AC and 100-370V DC.
Units can be used at 100% current capability up to 60C.
