Ideal Power has released a new power version of its ESB Series (ESB-PV) of DC/DC convertors, which deliver high current and efficiency in an industry-standard sized standard package. The ESB-PV enables communications and networking OEMs to minimise board space, reduce production costs and support the ongoing migration toward lower supply voltages for ICs and microprocessors. The ESB-PV convertors operate over an input-voltage range of 36 to 75V DC (48V nominal) to provide a precisely regulated output as low as 1.8V.

The ESB-PV delivers a typical full-load efficiency of 89% at 3.3V DC.

The ESB-PV module saves 20% broad space and maintains a low profile of just 11.7mm.

The ESB-PV modules are available in broad range of output voltages: 5.0V at 7.0A, 3.3V at 10A, 2.5V at 10A and 1.8V at 10A.

Each model is available in input pi-filter or input EMC-filter configurations.

The ESB-PV modules are capable of operating in temperatures ranging from -40 to +85C and protect against abnormal inputs, outputs and temperatures.
