Workshop offers practical EMC advice
Shielding, EMC/EMI, noise reduction, earthing and circuit board layout will all be addressed in a two-day workshop in Cardiff, Manchester and Glasgow.

Shielding, EMC/EMI, noise reduction, earthing and circuit board layout will all be addressed in a two-day workshop in Cardiff on the 7th and 8th October, in Manchester on the 11th and 12th October and in Glasgow on the 14th and 15th October 2004. With a focus on earthing and shielding techniques, delegates will learn to identify, design, prevent and fix common EMC/EMI problems with a focus on earthing and shielding techniques. This course covers the design, operation and maintenance of analogue or digital systems involving sensors, data acquisition, process control, cables, signal processing, programmable logic controllers, power distribution, high speed logic etc.
The circuit board layout section concentrates on the design and layout of circuits and components on a printed circuit board.
The overall focus is on useful design and systems issues rather than on regulations and standards.
