ICP launched the Rack-6U panel PC based on the mini-ITX series of mainboards, targeted at industrial control and monitoring applications in production environments. Three versions of the Rack-6U Panel PC are available using three different LVDS-enabled EPIA mini-ITX mainboards. The three boards are the EPIA MII12000 with support for PCMCIA cards, the EPIA PD10000 mini-ITX board with dual LAN capability, and the EPIA ME6000 mainboard for very low power and fanless operation.

The Rack-6U panel PC measures 266 x 482 x 120mm, and comes equipped as standard with a 160GB hard drive, a DVD/CD ROM drive, a 180W PFC AC power supply and a 15in LCD screen.

The 15in LCD screen is driven by the LVDS interface on the EPIA mini-ITX mainboard and comes with a touch screen option.

Versions of the panel PC are also available with power supplies requiring a 12V DC input only.

A PCI slot is available for an additional network port or modem card.

'We are delighted that we can now offer this new 6U rack design Panel PC combined with a 15in LCD screen'.

'Customers can select a variety of features by choosing the appropriate mini-ITX mainboard'.

'The touchscreen option allows the system to be used in production and factory environments without the need for a keyboard, making it a very convenient and accessible solution', said Kevan Wells, Project Manager of ICP.

The EPIA MII12000 mini-ITX form factor (17 x 17cm) mainboard uses the 1.2GHz Via C3 processor, a Via CLE266 chipset, and implements four USB 2.0 ports, one LAN port, CardBus/CompactFlash card support, LVDS support and up to 1Gbyte of DDR200/266/333 memory.

The EPIA PD10000 uses the Via C3 1GHz processor, a Via CLE266 chipset, six USB2.0 ports, two LAN ports, LVDS support, and up to 1Gbyte of DDR266 memory.

The EPIA ME6000 uses the fanless Via Eden 600MHz processor and implements the Via CLE266 chipset, four USB2.0 ports, one LAN port, LVDS support, and up to 1Gbyte DDR 266 memory.
