New rechargeable lithium-ion polymer cells are ideal for portable applications such as wireless devices, GSM/3G products and handheld instrumentation

IBT has unveiled a new range of rechargeable lithium-ion polymer cells developed for portable applications such as wireless devices, GSM/3G products and handheld instrumentation. With a wide range of ultralightweight models to choose from, they offer greater design flexibility for maximising battery compartment space, aiding overall equipment weight reduction.

Cells have a nominal voltage of 3.7V and capacities range from 100 to 4500mAh at the 5h discharge rate.

Features include compact size, low profile packages and wide operating temperature range.

Products can be supplied with protection circuit modules to protect against overvoltage, undervoltage, high currents and overdischarge.

For larger power requirements battery packs can be factory assembled to provide higher voltages and increased capacities.
