HyperMod is a new range of modular connectors specifically designed for harsh environments and rail applications in particular

Conforming to DIN43652 standards, and NF F61030 railways approved, these connectors are ideal for use with internal and external onboard rail equipment, as well as signalling and infrastructure equipment. The HyperMod product range includes six shell sizes and five types of modules, and has been designed to provide rail customers with the modularity they need for their interconnect solutions at a lower cost.

Module configurations can also be specified with signal, power coaxial contacts and fibre optics links.

A guide is available to help select the configuration and appropriate shells.

As part of Hypertac's DIN43652 industrial range of connectors they offer a broad selection of contacts, mating housings and hoods options.

HyperMod also offers essential features such as modularity, IP68 waterproofing and antishock metallic shell with single or double metallic levers for quick locking.

Hypertac has also developed special shielded versions with higher electromagnetic compatibility, which ensure signal protection against electromagnetic disturbances.

HyperMod connectors are particularly suitable for onboard rail applications, both internal and external such as air conditioning, convertors, transformers, lighting and roofing facilities, and also in streetcars, metros and high-speed train applications.

The connectors are qualified to the NF F61030 railways standards.

HyperMod connectors use Hypertac's hyperboloid contact technology, offering advantages such as high resistance to shocks and vibrations, as well as ensuring more than 1000 mating cycles without any electrical and mechanical degradation.
