Originally designed to satisfy the demands of in-car electrical connections for the railway industry, HFR series rectangular cable-to-cable connectors are suitable for signal and power applications up to 26A The new HFR connector series is fitted with the low-resistance Hypertac Hyperboloid contact, and so offers potentially twice the current handling that would be available through a similar sized non-Hyperboloid contact, thus providing a significant space and weight saving interconnect solution
