High-voltage supply is
smaller and lighter
80kV power supply is designed for applications ranging from ion implantation to electron-beam welding to particle acceleration
HiTek Power has introduced the OL6000/803, an 80kV power supply for applications ranging from ion implantation to electron-beam welding to particle acceleration. The robust new supply is housed in two 4U high, 19in rack-mounting chassis weighing a total of 80kg, making it one of the smallest and lightest in the industry for its output.

The OL6000/803 incorporates HiTek Power's proprietary Arc Count and Extinguish (ACE) arc management system, which continuously monitors the output of the supply and can be programmed to perform a number of different actions if one or more arcs is detected.
This dramatically improves the reliability of the entire system in which it is installed.
The new unit takes its supply from a three-phase mains input and offers a continuously variable output up to 80kV and 75mA.
Output ripple is very low, at less than 80V peak-to-peak at 80kV.
Line regulation is less than 0.05% deviation in output voltage for a 10% change in line voltage at 80kV and load regulation is less than 0.05% deviation in output voltage for a 0 to 75mA change in load current at 80kV.
Recovery to within 0.1% of the previous operating level achieved is very quick, at 500ms.
