New from Hoffman, the Net Series of communication and server cabinets are designed to economically house 19 or 23in LAN, WAN, phone and voice mail rack equipment and servers. These preconfigured cabinets and accompanying accessories are stocked for quick shipment and versatile enough to adapt to many different applications.
Constructed of heavy gauge steel, Net Series cabinets not only protect network equipment from intrusion or impact but also from the effects of heat.
'We always consider today's data centre thermal and cable management challenges when designing our cabinets', said Brian Mordick, RCDD, Hoffman's Senior Product Manager for DataCom.
'Communication cabinets are equipped with a fully perforated front and louvered rear door; server cabinets feature a fully perforated front and split rear perforated door to facilitate air movement'.

Net Series cabinets are the first in a new family of economically priced, aesthetically superior cabinets that replace Hoffman's existing networking cabinets, at the same price level.
Additional new models, which will replace other existing cabinets, will be added in the near future.
Net Series is NEMA Type 1, UL listed 1863 and RoHS compliant, and meets third-party server cabinet requirements.
The perforated front door and louvered rear door are in accordance with server manufacturers' open space requirements.
The doors are easily removable for quick equipment installation and maintenance, have handles that do not protrude into the aisle and are equipped with a secure lock to limit cabinet access.
