The HDS helps developers to become familiarised quickly and without investment with ARM-specific features and with the universal Hitop debug software.

Hitex Development Tools has upgraded its free HDS developer suite for ARM.

The new HDS includes: unlimited Hisim instruction set simulator, Hitop IDE/debugger, Gnu C compiler, an evaluation version of the Tasking VX C-compiler for ARM, and application notes for compiler benchmarking.

The HDS helps developers to become familiarised quickly and without investment with ARM-specific features and with the universal Hitop debug software.

The latest Hitop version includes the possibility to fully integrate popular compilers such as the Tasking VX C compiler.

In addition, Hitop now provides template files for all common ARM derivatives which significantly facilitate the basic application settings.

To define customised windows Hitop has been expanded with a graphical SFR editor.

The new HDS is available for free download at from the Hitex website.
