Harting has added a 40A crimp module to the Han-Modular industrial connector system.

The Han 40A crimp module is compatible for mating with the Han 40A axial screw module, and is suitable for applications demanding high mechanical integrity.

The crimp module lends itself to efficient assembly, particularly in manufacturing applications where large numbers of units are involved.

In these situations, significant economies can be achieved by using a crimping machine such as the Harting TC-C01.

For assembly in the field, manual crimping tools are also available.

The Han 40A crimp module features two power contacts rated at up to 40A at 1,000V, and allows currents of up to 60A to be transmitted with 10mm^2 strands.

Assembly is via standard Han C crimp contacts, with cross-sections from 1.5mm^2 to 10 mm^2 (AWG 16-8).
