Industrial connector combines
power with data
Harting has a new hybrid connector for use in industrial data networks
The new Han-Brid Quintax 3A uses the company's well established Quintax connector insert in a Han 3A hood and housing. It can accommodate up to four screened data wires with 360-degree screening through the connector. The Han-Brid Quintax connector assembly offers the optional provision of two power contacts rated at 10A each, which can be used to provide power to Fieldbus devices.
This hybrid approach to Fieldbus interconnection offers lower product and installation costs through the integration of both power and data into a single connector, and lends itself to the 'plug and play' concept within the industrial environment.
