The Han Quintax Z Series is a shielded connector module designed for use with Harting's Han-Modular range of heavy-duty industrial connectors

The Z Series contact has been introduced to simplify field assembly and installation. Han-Quintax is designed to transmit very sensitive signals (from industrial Fieldbus systems, for example) in an electrically noisy industrial environment. It is suitable for use with shielded cables of 3-6 or 6-9.5mm in diameter, and it allows several independent cables to be integrated in a single housing without interrupting the shielding.

Han-Quintax makes it possible to integrate low-level bus signals in the same connector housing as electrical power supply lines, pneumatic tubes, fibre optic cables and coaxial cables.

Each Han-Quintax insert contains four contacts plus a shielding pin, and the inserts are housed in pairs in plastic or metal modules.

An axial insulation displacement system allows rapid assembly.
