Connectors lock speedily into place
Novel termination technology combines the space-saving benefits of crimp technology with simple and rapid assembly
Mini Coax+ offers minimal insertion loss and optimised levels of impedance in all internal components of the connector.
Particular attention has also been paid to the interface with the printed-circuit board, so that signal integrity is not compromised.
Harting has adopted solderable surface-mount technology for the inner conductors.
In addition, to minimise the effects of shear forces on the angled PCB connector, the ground pins are compatible with pin-in-hole surface-mount technology.
This configuration allows the connectors to be automatically assembled on a pick-and-place machine and soldered to the board in a single reflow process, with resulting assembly cost benefits to the manufacturer.
