Surtech extends distribution coverage

Surtech has extended its product line coverage to include the entire range of Hammond die-cast aluminium, plastic and metal enclosures, handles and related accessories.

Surtech Distribution of Andover, Hampshire, is a fast-growing distribution operation serving the electronics, electrical and associated industries, specialises in the supply of enclosures, thermal management and related electromechanical components from leading manufacturers.

Hammond Electronics has announced that Surtech has extended its product line coverage to include the entire range of Hammond die-cast aluminium, plastic and metal enclosures, handles and related accessories, greatly increasing service levels to end users.

In addition to in-depth stock holding, rapid despatch and advanced technical support, Surtech offers a complete configuration and customisation service, providing users with machining, silk screening and custom kitting of their chosen enclosure.

Hammond's website has downloadable AutoCAD files of all products; customers can use them as templates to specify the modifications they need for their application, reducing cost and time to market.

In addition to various families of small enclosures, Surtech will be the primary source for Hammond's RCBS and RCHS families of 19in equipment housings.

The RCBS is an economy light duty table top instrument case, rated up to 260kg, supplied ready assembled and available in heights of 2 to 8U and depths of 330 and 480mm.

The RCHS heavy duty unit, rated at 360kg, is available in heights of 5 to 16U and depths of 440 and 620mm.

As standard, the RCHS is fitted with fully adjustable panel mountings; a wide range of accessories such as doors, panels, shelves and cable organisers are available for both versions.
