Thick-wall enclosures for extra protection
The 1594 Series from Hammond Electronics is a family of thick-wall small enclosures, intended for applications where there is a high likelihood of damage as the result of dropping or impact
Moulded in either flame-retardant UL94V-0 ABS or low cost high impact polystyrene, the enclosures are available in five different sizes ranging from 56 x 56 x 28mm to 167 x 107 x 53mm. The wall is an average 3.3mm thick; the top fits to the base with a lap joint, giving an IP54 rating. An optional waterproofing kit, recommended for external use, increases the environmental protection to IP65.

Both materials have a matte surface finish.
