S-Video switches scan for inputs
The Model VS4-YC which is a compact four-input/single-output S-Video switch and the VS4-YCA is an S-Video plus stereo audio switch.

Hall Research Technologies has added two S-Video active switches to its product line. The Model VS4-YC which is a compact four-input/single-output S-Video switch and the VS4-YCA is an S-Video plus stereo audio switch. Both units have four individual pushbuttons for the selection of input with corresponding LED indicators.
The devices feature an RS232 port and include a cable for controlling the switch remotely via a serial device.
Both units can be set to scan all inputs at user selectable intervals.
All input and output connectors are conveniently located on the rear panel.
The VS4-YC for S-Video lists at $269, and the VS4-YCA for S-video and audio lists at $285.
