Video scalers convert
between VGA and DVI
Hall Research Technologies has added DVI-to-VGA and VGA-to-DVI video scalers to its line of DVI products
Hall Research Technologies (HRT) has added DVI-to-VGA and VGA-to-DVI video scalers to its line of DVI products. The SC-VD-2 accepts analogue PC or component HDTV input through an HD15 connector, automatically detecting the resolution and refresh rate of the signal. The output is DVI-I (integrated digital RGBHV bit-stream plus analogue RGBHV).

The SC-DV-2 accepts digital input through a DVI-I connector, automatically detecting the resolution of the signal and converting it to analogue RGB output (PC VGA or HDTV component).
Both the SC-VD-2 and the SC-DV-2 allow the user to specify the resolution and refresh rate of the output signal.
This is done through a user-friendly on screen display (OSD), which is controlled by front panel pushbuttons.
Once the resolution and refresh rate have been set, the output signal remains uninterrupted regardless of changes to the input.
This feature allows for seamless switching on the input side.
