The Mini-CAT is a compact VGA-to-CAT5 convertor for extending PC video signals easily and economically

The Model UV1 comprises two pieces: a sender that plugs directly to the PC or notebook and a receiver that connects to the display device such as monitor or LCD projector. The user just plugs a standard CAT5 cable, up to 90m long, between the two units. The devices buffer and boost the video signals with a bandwidth of 250MHz for a crisp and clear image.

All signals are transmitted and received differentially, eliminating ground-loop and AC-grounding problems that can often arise in sending video over an extended length.

The Mini-CAT supports resolutions to 1280 x 1024 at any refresh rate.

The UV1 requires only one small power supply that can be plugged at either end.

The Mini-CAT is an ideal alternative to costly and cumbersome multi-coaxial video extension cables and it offers the added benefits of ground isolation and signal boosting.

Hall Research's President Ali Haghjoo, states, "The UV1 is excellent for notebook users and is well suited for all types of video presentations, meetings or conference rooms.

The rising demand for high-resolution PC video distribution has created a need for a cost effective method of sending the VGA signal from one point to another".

The small sized unit can easily fit into a pocket or briefcase.

It weighs less than 570g.

The Mini-CAT comes complete with sender, receiver and adapter cable.

List price is $350.
