Video chips on show at IBC
NTT Electronics will be exhibiting its comprehensive range of products for MPEG-2 video compression and decompression on stand 6.229 at IBC
On show, for the first time at IBC, will be the new, world-leading VASA LSI which provides a single-chip HDTV 4:2:2 encoding and decoding solution. Integrated into the new SC10KE and SC10KD HDTV modules, the VASA LSI can provide broadcast quality 4:2:2 1080i performance in a compact and low-power format.

In addition, the new MP2000 MPEG-over-IP solution and a new low-cost MPEG-2 encoder module targeted at the security/surveillance and distance learning/TV conferencing markets will be launched.
NTT Electronics will also demonstrate how its current SDTV 4:2:0 and 4:2:2 encoder and decoder modules have been combined to offer 84ms (Pal) end-to-end delay.
The credit-card size format and low power consumption are ideally suited to fixed and mobile applications.
Representatives from NTT Electronics in Japan and Hitachi High-Technologies, NTT Electronics' worldwide sales partner will be on hand to answer any queries customers may have.
