The M402 series of surface mount, 0.5mm pitch connectors is available from Harwin in both male and female configurations.

Supplied taped and reeled the connector range is available configured from 10 to 100 terminations with RoHS-compliant gold or tin finish, phosphor-bronze contact material and high-temperature UL94V0 thermoplastic housing.

Available with a selection of board to board stacking heights the M402 features 50V AC and 0.5A maximum ratings, maximum contact resistance of 50mohm and model-dependent insulation resistance to 1000Mohm.

500 operations durability at maximum insertion force of 0.9N per contact and 0.1N minmum withdrawal force is complemented by solder heat resistance of 260C for 10s, and solderability of 235C for 5s.

According Paul Gillam, New Product Manager at Harwin: "The M402 range strengthens the Harwin range and we believe will find increased applications in consumer AV and digital equipments where interconnection size is premium".
