Harwin is launching a low insertion force version of its Datamate connector family, offering up to 96 contacts.

Harwin is launching a new, low insertion force version of its Datamate connector family, offering up to 96 contacts.

The M83 three-row connector incorporates specially designed female contacts that require a mating force of only 0.2 to 1N, yet delivers the same high-reliability performance as existing Datamate versions.

Datamate connectors conform with British Standard 9525-F0033 and can withstand high levels of shock, acceleration and vibration in addition to a large number of mating cycles, all without loss of performance.

M83 versions can feature mixed contact technologies including signal, power, and coax.

Targeted at applications such as industrial control systems, head-up displays, air-to-air missiles, military communications and military and passenger aircraft, Datamate M83 connectors are supplied with jackscrews for secure board mounting.
