Connectors allow high-speed multipin transmission
Harwin has responded to demands from makers of mobile phones for a high-speed fine-line coax connector with its M480 series 0.4mm pitch micro coax connector.
High performance interconnect maker Harwin has responded to demands from makers of mobile phones and other space sensitive equipment featuring LCDs for a high-speed fine-line coax connector with its M480 series 0.4mm pitch micro coax connector, launched at Electronica.
Cellphone makers especially have a dual requirement for connectors that can maintain quality of signal - to preserve the sharpness of displayed images and miniaturisation.
More the rotational action of flip phones and the general day to day wear and tear on consumer items also mean that the connectors specified must be rugged and reliable.
M480 series micro coax connectors allow high-speed multipin transmission through narrow tubes or hinges.
In combination with shielding coaxial cable (40-42AWG) these shielded connectors enable a more effective noise suppression system that make high speed transmission possible.
Connectors are available in 20-, 30-, 40- and 50-way configurations, and rated for operation at 0.3A, 50V.
Devices have an operating temperature range of -40 to +85C, and are supplied in embossed tape packaging for automated assembly.
